The Russian General Staff said on Saturday that the Pentagon has begun to develop a new strategy for military operations and is ready to confront it.
This came during a speech by the Chief of General Staff of the Russian Army, General Valery Girasimov, at the Defense Strategy Conference, Moscow.
“The Pentagon has begun to develop a new core strategy for wars, called Trojans, whose essence lies in the active use of protest potential to destabilize,” he said.
He pointed out that all the important installations “are attacked with sophisticated weapons, and high precision.”
Gerasimov, who is also the first deputy defense minister, stressed that Russia is ready to deal with all strategies.
“In recent years, Russian military scientists, in cooperation with the Army General Staff, have developed new approaches and concepts to neutralize the aggressive actions of potential adversaries.”
“The Russian response is based on an active strategy of defense, which comes from the core of the defense nature of the army doctrine, and offers a set of preventive measures to neutralize threats to state security,” he said.
“The scientific activity of military scientists is one of the priorities to ensure the security of the state, and we should take the enemy step forward in developing a military strategy,” the military official said
