Turkey’s Besiktas announced on Thursday that Chilean midfielder Gary Medel has left the club to join Italian club Bologna.
Besiktas said on website that it thanked Medel for his efforts in the Turkish club and wish him success in the Italian division Serie A.
In his career, Medel played for CD Universidad Catolica in Chile, Argentinian powerhouse Boca Juniors, Spain’s Sevilla, Cardiff City in the English Premier League, and Italian club Inter Milan.
The 32-year-old defensive midfielder had 77 appearances for Besiktas.
Medel scored seven goals in 125 international games for Chile.
In addition, Medel lifted the Copa America with Chile in 2015 and 2016.
