The suspension of the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces (INF) Agreement by the United States and Russia will have significant implications for international security in the coming period. It is expected that the uncertainty and distrust in the international arena will increase with the elimination of the agreement prohibiting the short and medium-range nuclear weapons, ballistic and cruise missiles in the hands of the two states. In particular, the challenges and risks of a possible nuclear arms race and the European security architecture, NATO-Russia relations and the US policy have increased. This analysis discusses the possible risks posed by the elimination of INF and the importance of international security and the elimination of the agreement within the framework of these themes.
